The condition report is provided to assist you with assessing the condition of the lot and is for guidance only. The lot is sold in the condition it is in at the time of sale. This photograph was also examined using non-invasive X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF) and no selenium was detected. When examined under ultraviolet light, this photograph does not appear to fluoresce. The accompanying original presentation envelope exhibits wear consistent with age, with some occasional tears and creases, notably at the corners.
The reverse is faintly darkened at the edges, and the upper edge is slightly worn. There is some minor soiling and a few fingerprints on the mount. There is very minor edge wear, with occasional miniscule chipping. When examined in raking light, the following are visible: age-appropriate silvering in the darkest areas of the print several small impressions in the upper left portion of the image that do not appear to break the emulsion a few tiny deposits of original retouching and a thin scratch and a small crease at the center right edge.
This early print, on semi-glossy paper, is in generally excellent condition. Please note the colors and shades in the online catalogue illustration may vary depending on screen settings.
